Holiday lighting for cities, parks and public spaces in Los Angeles

Commercial Christmas Lights for Municipalities

Our municipal work runs on public deadlines and public accountability, so we plan a city's holiday display around the tree lighting ceremony, the council calendar, and the December foot traffic in your downtown corridor. We handle the parts that trip up most vendors on public projects, including certificates of insurance naming the city as additional insured, California prevailing wage and DIR paperwork, and encroachment permits with traffic control for any work in the public right of way. From Old Town Pasadena to a Valley civic center or a South Bay Main Street, we build displays that read well from a moving car and hold up close on the sidewalk.

  • Ceremony-first scheduling: we back-plan the install from your tree lighting date and council calendar, then finish with a full lit test two to three days early so nothing is dark on the night.
  • Insurance and COI: we carry general liability and workers compensation and issue certificates naming the city, its council, and named officials as additional insured, with limits and endorsements matched to your bid documents.
  • Public works compliance: for prevailing wage projects we register with the DIR, pay California prevailing wage, and submit certified payroll so your procurement and finance teams stay clean on audit.
  • Right of way and access: we pull encroachment permits and run WATCH manual traffic control for work over sidewalks, medians, or lanes, scheduling street-facing installs early mornings or overnight to keep downtown foot traffic moving.
  • Power and energy: we run commercial LED on photocell timers and GFCI-protected circuits, size the load to your existing streetlight or park power, and coordinate any new taps with public works and Southern California Edison.
  • Brand and community fit: we match your city seal colors and can build an inclusive winter look, adding menorah, snowflakes, and civic accents so the display represents the whole community, not one holiday.

Municipalities Holiday Lighting FAQs

+Do you carry the insurance a city requires, and can you name us as additional insured?
Yes. We provide certificates of insurance with general liability and workers compensation and add the city, its council, and named officials as additional insured at the limits your risk manager requires. Send us your insurance requirements with the RFP and we return a matching COI before the notice to proceed.
+Can you work through our bid, purchase order, and net invoicing process?
Yes. We respond to RFPs and informal quotes, accept purchase orders, and invoice on net 30 or net 45 terms so the display fits your procurement rules. For public works scope we also handle DIR registration, prevailing wage, and certified payroll.
+How do you handle work in the public right of way and around pedestrians?
We pull encroachment permits and set up approved traffic control before any work over medians, sidewalks, or travel lanes. Street-facing installs run early morning or overnight, we keep sidewalks ADA-clear during business hours, and we protect tree health when we wrap trunks and canopies.
+Will the lights be ready in time for our tree lighting ceremony?
Yes. We schedule the install to finish two to three days before your ceremony, then walk the site with your staff for a full lit test and final adjustments. We hold that buffer on purpose so a burned string or tripped circuit never shows up on ceremony night.
+Do you take the display down and store it, and can we lock in multiple years?
Yes. Removal is part of every contract, usually across the first two weeks of January, and we can store, inspect, and repair your decor in the off season. Multi-year agreements let us reuse and expand the same design, which keeps per-season cost down and the look consistent.
